The Rocket and Scatter Experiment planned observations of the polar E-layer with STARE, with EISCAT, and with rockets
Abstract
The goals of the Scandinavian Twin Auroral Radar Experiment (STARE) in situ measurements are reviewed. The need for additional data in order to interpret the measurement results is shown. The usefulness of EISCAT measurements and of rocket-based measurements in providing such additional data is discussed.
