Some results of the Sundial campaign for coordinated ionosphere observations
Abstract
An overview is given of the concept and goals of the Sundial campaign, which aims at global and comprehensive observations of the ionosphere and of the geophysical events which produce disturbances in the middle ionosphere. Examples of ionospheric observations from the first Sundial campaign in the European-African sector are given, including width profiles and daily curves of the electron content. Examples from later campaigns are used to explain the results.
