A reflecting meridian circle.
Abstract
A new design of a meridian circle with mirror optics (D = 300 mm, F = 3000 mm) and simultaneous autocollimation control of the position of the line of sight in the field of the instrument is proposed. The proposed instrument can be considered as practically free of astronomic flexure, drift of the zenith place on the circle, errors of pivots and variations of orientation of the axis of rotation of the tube.
