Relation between the ComptonGetting factor and the radial intensity gradient of particles while they were transported and accelerated in the interplanetary medium.
Abstract
It is shown that there exists a universal relationship between the ComptonGetting factor and the radial intensity gradient of cosmicray particles if the solution of the transport equation depends on the dimensionless combination of the distance r and the particle momentum p, and does not depend on time. It is demonstrated that this relationship does not depend on the explict form of the solution of the transport equation and is conserved for arbitrary values of r and p for the acceleration as well as the modulation of cosmic rays. Theoretical results are compared with experimental data on recurrent increases of 1MeV protons near earth orbit.
