Elastic properties of YBa2Cu3O(7+delta) in the temperature range 4.2-300 K
Abstract
The elastic properties of YBa2Cu3O(7+delta) ceramic are investigated ultrasonically over a wide temperature range (4.2-300 K) using the compound vibrator method. The objective of the study is to identify anomalies associated with the superconducting transition and other phase transformations. Distinct singularities are identified on the temperature dependences of ultrasound velocity and absorption at 230 K, which are thought to be associated with a phase transition.
