Effects of dielectric superstrate on patch antennas
Abstract
Experiments with patch antennas covered with dielectric layers were conducted. Empirical relations between the resonant frequency, input impedance and superstrate thickness are obtained. The results are useful for the design of antennas to be covered with dielectric to protect against environmental hazards.
