Integrated light and velocity of solar g modes oscillations.
Abstract
The properties of the integrated intensity and velocity variations of the solar gravity modes for different spatial filters are studied in the adiabatic and nonadiabatic cases in the frequency range 40 - 120 μHz. Predicted amplitudes are given assuming equipartition of energy between the modes. As far as the intensity is concerned, a lack of amplitude has been pointed out around 60 μHz, which should have implication on the whole disc Virgo and ground based observations.
