Electromagnetic wave scattering by a perfectly conducting cylinder of arbitrary cross section at a plane interface between two media
Abstract
The paper is concerned with the twodimensional problem of determining the current induced by an Hpolarized wave on the surface of an ideally conducting cylinder of arbitrary cross section. The cylinder is located at a plane interface between two homogeneous halfspaces with different properties, with the generatrices of the cylinder parallel to the interface. An integral equation for the unknown current is formulated, and a method is presented for the numerical solution of the equation.
