Exact solutions to a class of Boltzmann equations
Abstract
Reference is made to earlier studies in which exact solutions have been obtained to the Boltzmann equation with a scattering cross section dependent on the scattering angle cosine and the inverse power of the relative velocity modulus. It is then shown that the method used in the above studies makes it possible to obtain explicit solutions to the Boltzmann equations for a more general cross section that depends on the inverse and first power of the relative velocity modulus and scattering angle cosine.
