Paramagnetic properties of a vacuum embedded in a strong magnetic field
Abstract
It is shown that a vacuum embedded in a very strong magnetic field behaves like an isotropic, paramagnetic medium. It is demonstrated that the magnetic permeability of the vacuum differs from 1 by not more than .00011 for magnetic fields weaker than 4.4 x 10 to the 13th G.
