The inflationary universe model
Abstract
Several deficiencies of the inflationary hypothesis are briefly discussed. These deficiencies are connected with the assumption of a tachyon universe, the question of the validity of the homogeneous and isotropic character of expansion for other (nonterrestrial) reference frames; and the fact that measurements of rho (the mean matter density of the Metagalaxy) refer to a relatively nearby astronomical region, in which the galaxy expansion velocity is much less than c. An appendix treats some related questions.
