Are There Nonradial Oscillations in Fu Orionis Stars?
Abstract
If FU Orionis outbursts are caused by disk accretion onto a pre-main-sequence star, such episodes may trigger nonradial oscillations of the star. For V1057 Cygni, the periods of r-mode oscillations are estimated to be 1 - 2 days and the periods of l = 2 g1-mode oscillations to be 0.4 - 0.7 days.
