Progress in Determining the Space Orientation of Stars
Abstract
The theory for determining the space orientation of the rotation axis of certain stars has previously been outlined, and the author investitgates here the precision and observational procedure with which this theory can be tested. Presently available data is presented, and observing stars are outlined. The importance of this determination to the methods of detecting extrasolar planetary systems is further developed, and a few examples are given.
