Physical studies of asteriods. XVIII - Phase relations and composite lightcurves obtained with the Carlsberg Meridian Circle
Abstract
The data on 31 asteriods obtained with the Carlsberg Automatic Meridian Circle at la Palma have been used to obtain the photometric parameters G and H and to draw phase diagrams. This supplements data on 51 asteroids previously published (Lagerkvist and Williams, 1987) using the same techniques. Synodic periods were obtained for 14 of the asteroids and composite lightcurves drawn. For 97 Klotho the present period of 35.58 h represents a significant improvement on previously published values. Fourteen asteroids were of type S, and the mean value of G found was 0.186 + or - 0.025 in excellent agreement with the value from previous data (0.18 + or - 0.02). For the C type asteroids, the mean G value was 0.022 + or - 0.027 also in agreement with the previous determination of 0.03 + or - 0.05.
