First results from the galactic axion search.
Abstract
Cold, light axions have been proposed as the main constituent for the halo of dark matter surrounding the galaxy. A microwave experiment designed to search for these galactic axions is described, and the first results presented. Future plans for the detector, and for a second generation detector, are also discussed.
