Physics of Be stars
Abstract
Various papers on the physics of Be stars are presented. Some of the topics addressed include: terms and definitions in the study of Be stars, fundamental parameters of Be stars, the existence of magnetic fields in Be stars, observations of rapid variability in Be stars, differential rotation in B and Be stars, rotating stellar atmospheres and interiors, optical emission-line spectra of Be stars, spectral energy distribution and interstellar reddening, interstellar absorption of some Be stars, infrared observations of Be stars, high-energy phenomena in Be stars, Voyager observations of Zeta Tau, short-term photometric variability in Be stars in the far-ultraviolet, X-ray observations of B-emission stars, rotationally-enhanced stellar winds, emission-line stars as interacting binaries, Be stars as nonradial pulsators, magnetic-loop model for Be stars, interacting binaries as Be stars, the evolution of rapidly rotating B stars, and synthetic uvby-beta photometry of HD 12856 and HD 13890.
