Optical modulation above 20 GHz using a waveguide electro-optic switch
Abstract
The intensity modulation of an optical carrier at frequencies above 20 GHz are reported using a Ti:LiNbO(sub 3), optical waveguide switch. A self electro-optic sampling technique is used to observe the modulation.
