Stationary motions of a body suspended on a rod, their bifurcation and stability
Abstract
The problem considered here concerns the motion of a dynamically symmetric gyrostat suspended from a stationary point by means of a weightless rod. The bifurcation and stability of the permanent rotations, relative equilibriums, and regular precessions of the gyrostat are analyzed for four different problem statements. The results obtained are presented in the form of bifurcation diagrams.
