High-frequency limit of the longitudinal impedance
Abstract
A method of iterations which takes into account finite widths of resonances is developed and used to calculate the longitudinal impedance for a cylindrical cavity with side pipes. In the high-frequency limit the dependence of the real part of the impedance on the frequency is omega sup -1/2 in agreement with estimates for average impedance obtained earlier.
