Reception of an elliptically polarized space-time signal in the presence of noise produced by external sources
Abstract
The paper examines the likelihood-ratio-optimal processing of a narrow-band elliptically polarized space-time radio signal received in the presence of internal noise and external noise produced by multiple sources. It is shown that the polarization-selection efficiency is determined by relationships between the energy and polarization parameters of the noise due to the external sources.
