A regularized algorithm for radar-signal detection
Abstract
The problem of radar-signal detection on a background of noise with independent samples during parametric and nonparametric uncertainty is considered. The parametric uncertainty consists in an absence of knowledge about the amplitude, initial phase, Doppler frequency, signal-delay time, and noise variance. The nonparametric uncertainty consists in an unknown noise density distribution in the vicinity of a hypothetical normal distribution. Tikhonov-regularizing algorithms of signal detection are synthesized which combine robustness with the constant probability dependence of the solution on the variation of the initial data.
