Backscattering of decametric waves by irregularities in the subpolar ionospheric F-layer

The backscattering of decametric waves by subpolar F-region irregularities was studied experimentally during January-March 1985 at a Kiev-region station using a transmitter operating at frequencies in the 11-20 MHz range. Results indicate the existence of small-scale irregularities at night in the vicinity of the equatorial trough 'wall' in the F-layer.
