The Shubnikov de Haas effect in narrow-gap semimagnetic semiconductors
Abstract
The Shubnikov de Haas (SdH) effect in the narrow-gap semimagnetic semiconductors (Cd (1-x) Mn (x)) 3As2 and Hg (1-x) Mn (x) Se was studied. Band models for semimagnetic semiconductors were derived. Numerical calculation of the electron energy levels in Hg (1-x) Mn (x) Se is outlined. Experiments on the semiconductors are described. Distorted SdH signals are discussed.
