SRS amplification of femtosecond light pulses under opposite-direction and same-direction pumping
Abstract
It is shown experimentally that linear frequency modulation of picosecond laser pulses can be conserved during SRS amplification in optical fibers under opposite-direction and same-direction pumping. Based on this finding, a novel technique for the amplification of femtosecond pulses is proposed. The amplification of 400-500-fs pulses up to 41 dB was achieved at a repetition frequency of 1-30 kHz.
