Spin and Isospin Projection in the Chiral Bag plus Skyrmion Hybrid Model
Abstract
We study the spin and isospin symmetry retoration in the chiral bag plus Skyrmion hybrid model (CSH). First we solve the intrinsic state in the hedgehog state then project it onto the baryon states with definite spin and isospin. We propose the generator coordinate method (GCM) instead of the semiclassical collective coordinate method (CCM). The intrinsic state of the pion is explicitly constructed by the coherent state for quantum description of the classical field. It is found that quantum effect of the intrinsic state neglected in the CCM plays an essential role for quantitative discussion in the CSH. We study masses of the nucleon and the delta, the baryon number and the axial-vector coupling constant g_{A}. Improvements of these quantities from those in the CCM suggest that the GCM would be an alternative approach for the symmetry restoration of the spin and isospin in the CSH.
