About the solar iron abundance anomaly for the 2.2 eV lines.

The possible reasons of the solar iron abundance anomaly found by Simmons and Blackwell for the 2.2 eV lines are analysed. It is found that with the depth-dependent turbulent velocity this anomaly can be reduced but not eliminated. The iron abundance in the atmosphere of Arcturus is also analysed but no anomaly is found.
