Search for very-high-energy gamma-rays from the galactic disk.
Abstract
The results of a search for an excess in the cosmic-ray counting rate at primary energies (10-100 TeV) from the Galactic disk are presented. No region with l(II) = 50-200 deg exhibits any significant positive excess. The upper limit to the flux implies an index of the differential energy spectrum of gamma rays from the Galactic plane (averaged between 0.1 and 10,000 GeV) of gamma greater than 2.2.
