Abstract
Various hot ionized H II regions have been found to exist within a 250 pc radius of the Galactic nucleus, each with its own dynamical motion. Hot ionized regions between 900 and 50 pc of the Galactic nucleus are discussed. It is noted that objects including filaments have been detected by radio observations within the central cavity. Radio observations between 50 and 5 pc of the Galactic nucleus reveal a vertical arc (perpendicular to the Galactic plane) joined by an ionized bridge to a shell closer to the nucleus center. Observations also show a high-velocity ionized spiral near the center of the cavity.
