Study of Prism-Dichroic at 45° and 22.5° Angle
Abstract
Dichroic coatings are used in modern Optical instruments to obtain images or optical signals in different spectral bands. It is a kind of beam splitting device where one region of spectrum !B reflected and the other is transmitted. This paper deals with the theoretical design and practical coating of prismdichroie of reflection in IR region and transmission in visible region. The coating has been made at 45° and 22.5° respectively on a single prism and then cemented with the other matching prism. The phase thickness are varied in this case to obtain best possible results while maintaining refractive index, number of layers as constant parameters, A comparison has been made between the theoretically designed and practically achieved curves.
