Investigation of primary particles of high-energy cosmic radiation aboard the Kosmos 1543 satellite.
Abstract
The Cosmos-1543 Sokol instrument consisting of an ionization calorimeter and two Cerenkov detectors was used to investigate primary cosmic rays at energies of 1-10 TeV. The charge distribution for Z ranging from 5 to 30 is plotted, and the differential energy spectra of alpha particles, and C, O, and Fe-group nuclei are presented.
