Modulation of galactic cosmic rays with a stepwise dependence of the diffusion coefficient on impulse.
Abstract
An exact solution to the stationary problem involving the modulation of cosmic rays with a monoenergetic spectrum specified at infinity by the spherically symmetric solar wind is obtained in the isotropic-diffusion approximation. It is assumed that the dependence of the diffusion coefficient on the momentum has a stepwise form. The particle acceleration by a standing shock wave at the boundary of the heliosphere is taken into account.
