Modulation of galactic cosmic rays with a stepwise dependence of the diffusion coefficient on impulse.
Abstract
An exact solution to the stationary problem involving the modulation of cosmic rays with a monoenergetic spectrum specified at infinity by the spherically symmetric solar wind is obtained in the isotropicdiffusion approximation. It is assumed that the dependence of the diffusion coefficient on the momentum has a stepwise form. The particle acceleration by a standing shock wave at the boundary of the heliosphere is taken into account.
