Formation of energy and mass fluxes of the solar wind in a model witha wave source.
Abstract
A self-consistent problem of corona and solar-wind formation in a spherically symmetric model with an MHD-wave energy source is examined. It is shown that the unique free parameter determining the structure of the solution is the induction of the coronal magnetic field B(asterisk). When B(asterisk) is greater than about 2 G, the outflow of matter has a significant effect on the coronal conditions. The corona parameters and solar-wind energy and mass fluxes are analyzed as a function of the B(asterisk) magnitude.
