Critical current density in the superconducting ceramic La(1.8)Sr(0.2)CuO4 in S-c-N microcontacts
Abstract
Measurements of the volt-ampere characteristics of S-c-N microcontacts in La(1.8)Sr(0.2)CuO4 have been carried out with a view to investigating the properties of individual crystallites in this superconducting ceramic. It is found that critical current density in the superconducting regions of La(1.8)Sr(0.2)CuO4 ceramic with dimensions of the order of a few dozen angstroms reaches 10 to the 8th A/sq cm, which is comparable with the current density of unpairing estimated from the standard superconductivity formulas.
