Isotopic composition of Halley dust.
Abstract
On the basis of PUMA 1 mode 0 mass spectra of Halley solid grains isotopic patterns have been found for C, O, Mg, S, Fe (and Cl, probably not of cometary origin). While isotopic abundances calculated for O, Mg, S, Cl and Fe are near to the terrestrial values, carbon isotope ratio 12C/13C varies from about 30 to several hundreds. Temporal and local carbon isotope ratio dependence is given along the path of Vega 1.
