Superconductor resembles perovskite
Abstract
A new compound that acts as a superconductor at a temperature of 77 Kandshows evidence of the onset of superconductivity at 93 K has been found to have an atomic structure related to that of perovskite (Figure 1). The compound's structure was presented at two scientific meetings on March 18, 1987, by a group from the Geophysical Laboratory of the Carnegie Institution of Washington (Washington, D.C.).
