Wavefront reversal during the dispersion of sound by a pulsed cylinder
Abstract
The problem considered here concerns nonlinear dispersion of an acoustic wave by a circular cylinder pulsating at a doubled frequency. The occurrence of wavefront reversal is demonstrated by using ray asymptotics. The principal characteristics of the wavefront reversal are investigated.
