On estimation of the role of stellar encounters in non-stationary star cluster's dynamics.
Abstract
Numerical calculations of binary-star encounters in nonstationary star clusters are performed. It is found that the presence of a regular field decreases the role of close stellar encounters in cluster relaxation. The possiblity of using the collionless approximation for studying the velocity fields of nonstationary star clusters is considered.
