Broadband Multicolour Photometry of Ch-Cygni
Abstract
Subsequent to the discovery of a radio flare in CH Cyg by Taylor, Seaquist, and Mattei (1986), bolometer observations carried out in June 1985 have been combined with optical data from May and July 1985 to produce a broadband spectral distribution. To this has been added IUE data by Kenyon, Einstein X-ray data by Leahy and Taylor (1987), both from May 1985, and earlier IRAS data. The optical and infrared variability and the consequences of the variation and of the spectral distribution for the symbiotic model of the system are briefly described.
