Photoelectric B and V Sequences to 22nd Magnitude in 23 Medium- and High-Galactic Latitude Regions
Abstract
Deep photoelectric sequences fainter than 22nd B and V magnitudes have been obtained in 23 regions at galactic latitudes ranging from +83 deg to -82 deg. The sequences are used to calibrate deep slitless photographic surveys and are clearly of general interest. The observations were obtained with a CCD photometer and the 0.9 m telescope of KPNO. Finding charts and tables are given listing the B and V magnitudes of the stellar objects, and the precisions of the measurements are discussed. It is expected that the observations should give calibrating sequences with accuracies of the order of 0.05 mag.
