Internal biological tissue temperature measurements using zirconium fluoride fiber
Abstract
The resolution and construction of a zirconium fluoride optical waveguide coupled to a cooled PbSe detector is explored for remote radiometry in the 3-5um range. We obtain a spatial resolution of better than .5mm and thermal resolution of 3C at room temperature with immunity to high levels of laser irradiation.
