RF performance test and current operations of LHRF and ICRF heating systems on JT-60

Performance testing of JT-60 RF systems was completed in summer of 1986. In the integrated test of LHRF systems output power of eight klystrons was absorbed into water dummy loads at the level of 8 MW for 1 sec. at 2 GHz. In the ICRF case power test of each eight three-stage amplifier was conducted at the level of 750 kW for 10 sec. at 120 MHz. In the current operation with JT-60 plasma, each LHRF system has acheived 2.0-2.4 MW for seconds and the ICRF system has achieved 2.0 MW for 1 second.
