Analysis and interpretation of a high density tandem negative ion source

Electron density, electron temperature and other plasma parameters have been obtained for a high density tandem H-source. A spatially dependent model calculation for the negative ion density has also been performed. The calculated current densities and atomic concentrations agree with observations. The variation of current density as a function of gas pressure is studied. (AIP)
