Navier-Stokes similarity solution for the planar liquid wall jet
Abstract
In the present consideration of the plane liquid wall jet example of boundary layer flow, for distances that are large with respect to jet exit dimension, a solution similar to that for a laminar liquid wall jet is deduced which is valid for all Reynolds numbers. The solution reduces to the boundary layer result for large Reynolds number, and includes a description for the wall jet flow that is directed toward a sink.
