Implicit NavierStokes calculations of transonic shock/turbulent boundarylayer interactions
Abstract
Three different shock boundary layer interaction flows are calculated. Two different computer codes are used on the same grid systems with identical initial conditions. The numerical schemes, which are both implicit, are due, respectively, to Beam and Warming (1978) and to MacCormack (1982). The turbulence models are the algebraic models of Cebeci et al. (1970), Baldwin and Lomax, and the kepsilon twoequation models. The performances of the numerical schemes are compared; a significant improvement is brought in with the twoequation model.
