A study of the dynamics of a rigid body with liquid-containing cavities with allowance for liquid vorticity
Abstract
A mathematical model is presented which describes a rigid body with liquid-filled cavities with allowance for the potential and vortex motion of the liquid. The model, which has the form of a system of nonlinear integrodifferential equations with singular kernels, is similar to a mathematical model of the nonstationary skin effect in the magnetic circuit of a controlled electric magnet. Numerical and analytical algorithms for the analysis of the dynamics and stability of objects described by the model are developed, and their efficiency is demonstrated for the case of the perturbed motion of a rigid body (rotation about the longitudinal axis).
