100 KW L-band transmitter for low flying detection radar
Abstract
This paper relates to a fully coherent transmitter which has been developed for use with a low flying detection and tracking radar. The important radar system requirements are discussed together with a number of factors relating to transmitter design, prototype development and measured performance. A new approach for building high voltage power supply unit for the TWT and CFA (crossed field amplifier) using a power MOSFET is described.
