The method of multipliers with a new multiplier iteration is developed. It can be used in the optimal design of broadband microwave GaAs FET amplifiers. Two practical examples have been chosen to demonstrate the merit of the method of multipliers. The first one is a five-stage cascaded GaAs FET lumped amplifier with 46 dB gain within the 1-2 GHz. The second is a three-stage cascaded GaAs FET distributed amplifiers with 24.8 dB gain within the 4-8 GHz. The practicability of the method of multipliers is experimentally verified. The result of the synthesis of distributed interstage matching networks for broadband microwave GaAs FET amplifiers is presented.
