Intracavity frequency doubling for the generation of squeezed states of light
Abstract
An experimental attempt to produce squeezed states of light by second harmonic generation within an optical cavity resonant at both fundamental and harmonic frequencies is described. The relevant theoretical predictions are reviewed using as a configuration a frequency-doubling crystal contained inside the resonant cavity. A block diagram of the experiment is shown, and some preliminary results are given.
