Statistical modeling of shockwave structure in a multicomponent gas
Abstract
Shockwave structure in binarygas and ternarygas flows are analyzed numerically. Calculations are performed for a Mach number of 5, a binarygas molecular mass ratio (m1:m2) of 10, a binarygas preshock concentration ratio (n1:n2) of 1, as well as for m1:m2:m3 = 1:5:10 and n1:n2:n3 = 100:2:1. The problems were formulated on the basis of the Boltzmann kinetic equation and solved by the statistical particleincell technique.
