Evolving ideas on the boundary layer concerning regional evaporation
Abstract
The importance of the atmospheric boundary layer for a better understanding and parameterization of land surface processes at the regional scale is discussed. Bulk transfer formulations, simple slab approaches, and the dissimilarity between sensible and latent heat transport are reviewed.
